After a week-long offensive, the Houthis captured the southern part of Yemen's Red Sea coast on Friday, consolidating their control over the Bab al-Mandab Strait.

Axios reported on Friday that Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, according to sources, called Trump and asked him to order strikes against the Houthis. Trump reportedly said no.
The number of people who have fled their homes due to fighting between the Iran-backed Houthi rebels and the Yemeni government has increased sharply in recent weeks, the UN said on Saturday.
Since July, at least 76,000 people have been displaced from their homes.
"The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is warning of a rapidly worsening refugee crisis in Yemen that is evolving by the hour," the UN agency said in a statement, according to AFP.
