Xi Jinping will visit North Korea on June 8-9 at the invitation of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, state-run Chinese CCTV reported.
It will be Xi Jinping's first trip to North Korea in seven years, since he visited Pyongyang in 2019.
Xi Jinping welcomed Kim Jong Un to Beijing in September.
China is an important source of diplomatic and political support for North Korea, which is one of the world's most isolated countries and is subject to extensive international sanctions.
