Elon Musk and Linda Yaccarino have been summoned to hearings on April 20. French prosecutors identify them as both practically and legally the most responsible for Platform X during the period when the suspected crimes were committed.
Yaccarino resigned as CEO of X in July 2025 after two years in the position.
The operation is part of a preliminary investigation that began a year ago, the prosecutor's office wrote on X. A Paris prosecutor specializing in combating cybercrime is leading the investigation.
