German economy is dampened, shows a new measurement. Government crisis and a threat of US tariffs are affecting the mood in the German business community, according to the analysis institute Ifo.
The business climate in Germany declined in November according to Ifo's monthly index.
The index measuring expectations among 9,000 entrepreneurs fell to 87.2 in November, down from 87.3 in October. The average forecast among analysts was 87.0.
Ifo's sub-index for the current situation fell to 84.3, which can be compared to the expected 85.5.
