With a total area of 318,000 square meters, the world's largest Legoland has now opened outside Shanghai, China. The amusement park is thus twice as large as the original park in Danish Billund, which is "only" 140,000 square meters. The amusement park is part of the Danish toy manufacturer's investment in the Chinese market, where they already have, among other things, 400 stores.

However, within the amusement park segment in Shanghai, there is tough competition, as Disney already has a Disneyland there, and in 2027, Warner Bros will open a Harry Potter park, the same year that a theme park with Peppa Pig is also expected to open its doors.
