“It will be my first competition in Sweden, so I am looking forward to experiencing the atmosphere in such a historic arena,” says Jefferson-Wooden in a press release.

The American ran the fastest time in the world in four years in last year's World Championships final and is now just 0.12 seconds off Florence Griffith-Joyner's world record. In the Bauhaus gala at Stockholm Stadium on June 7, she will face, among others, Swedish European Championship hopeful Julia Henriksson and Dina Asher-Smith.

Jefferson-Wooden has already won five World Championship gold medals and one Olympic gold medal, and is only 24 years old.

Her time of 10.61 in the 2025 World Championships final places her fourth all-time.
