World Ski Championships in Falun Still Have No Confirmed TV Broadcaster, Four Months Before Start

Just over four months remain until the World Ski Championships in Falun, but it is still unclear who, if anyone, will broadcast the event on television. According to Swedish Ski Association general secretary Pernilla Bonde, details are still being negotiated with the International Ski Federation (FIS).

We have had several discussions with them. It is in the final stages of drafting a contract, but it is not finished, she tells TT and continues:

From what we understand, it’s up to the lawyers at FIS. They’re sitting around filing away the final paragraphs.

However, FIS says it may continue to be delayed.

Bonde describes how they have previously been told that only small details remain, without the agreement being finalized.

The uncertainty is affecting planning for the championship, even though production is complete.

Yes. Now we want it to be finished, that’s it, says Bonde.
