Sabalenka, who is from Belarus but plays under a neutral flag, faced a little more pressure in the first set, which she managed to win 6–3. In the second set, 18-year-old Jović had no answer, and Sabalenka won it 6–0.
"Don't look at the result, it wasn't easy at all," Sabalenka said after the match, according to The Sydney Morning Herald.
