Three birdies were enough for world number one Korda to take home her second straight major. The 27-year-old finished at eight under par after a final round of 69.

"It feels like I'm in a dream," the American said after the victory, according to AFP.

"I can't describe how much this means to me."

The best Swede was Maja Stark. Last year's winner finished the final round at even par (71 strokes) and finished at -2 overall, which was enough for a share of eighth place.

Anna Nordqvist and Ingrid Lindblad finished the competition at Riviera Country Club in California with totals of +8 and +10 respectively.
