Frölunda's Ivar Stenberg scored in his first match since winning the World Junior Championship gold medal, finding the net straight away.

Stenberg, 18, opened the scoring as Frölunda defeated Brynäs 2-0 in the first semifinal of the CHL. Max Friberg scored the second goal and ensured that Frölunda has one foot in the final ahead of the return match in Gothenburg next week.

It could be an all-Swedish showdown for the CHL title.

The Luleå players' sticks were left in Copenhagen when the team flew to their semi-final away game against Zug. On match day, Luleå had to buy new sticks for a total of 150,000 kronor, but it seems that they were up to the task.

Luleå won 3–2 and should be able to get their regular sticks home in good time for the return leg.
