ICE has no place at these games, says Isaac Martinez, who works as a chef at the arena.

He represents the Unite Here Local 11 union of about 2,000 workers, who are demanding guarantees that the controversial immigration enforcement agency will not appear at the stadium, which is hosting eight World Cup matches.

We don't want to be afraid of coming to work, or of being detained when we go home, says Martinez.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is central to the Trump administration's crackdown on undocumented immigrants. The federal agency has been criticized for excessive force in its operations in several American cities, leading to widespread protests.
