What: The national football team's World Cup squad is announced.

When: Tuesday at 4:15 p.m.

Where: Post Office, Vasagatan, Stockholm.

TV: SVT, TV4 and several other media companies broadcast live from the squad announcement via various platforms.

+ How many players are allowed to go to the World Cup?

Graham Potter will be able to field a squad of between 23 and 26 players, three of whom must be goalkeepers. Expect a 26-man squad.

+ Then the squad must be registered

Even if Potter named his squad now, he could make changes in the coming weeks. A lot could happen during that time. Potter will most likely also nominate a number of reserves. The final squad must be reported to FIFA by June 1 at the latest. Up until 24 hours before the World Cup opener against Tunisia, an injured player can be replaced. A medical certificate is required.

+ Tough choices - who gets picked?

Potter's list has long included about 20 near-certainties. The further down the list he gets, the more diverse it becomes. Which players are the top backups for each position? Which players can be used at multiple positions? Elliot Stoud, Herman Johansson, Alexander Bernhardsson, Samuel Dahl, Hjalmar Ekdal, Eric Smith, Victor Eriksson and Sebastian Nanasi are all capable and relevant, but not all of them will be included. It's around that point that debate about right or wrong intensifies.

+ What will happen to Dejan Kulusevski?

Potter could take a chance on Kulusevski, who is in training but hasn't played a match in a year. That would require Potter to believe the Tottenham star will be ready to play.

+ Herniated disc to rule him out of World Cup?

Centre-back Carl Starfelt hasn't played for a long time and is reportedly suffering from a herniated disc. This suggests the Celta Vigo defender will miss the World Cup, as could Gustav Lundgren, whose Achilles tendon was torn in the warm-up before the Allsvenskan season opener. Gabriel Gudmundsson is also injured but is expected to recover in time.

+ The injury situation is good for now

Isak Hien, Emil Holm, Alexander Isak and Eric Smith, as well as goalkeepers Jacob Widell Zetterström and Viktor Johansson, missed the playoff final against Poland. All are back in action.

+ The build-up

The national team will gather in Stockholm on May 27 and meet Norway in Oslo on June 1. Greece will be the opposition in the warm-up in Solna on June 4. Two days later, the squad will fly to Dallas, Texas. The national team will be based at Toyota Stadium in Frisco.

Saturday 20 June (7:00 PM): Netherlands in Houston, USA. Broadcast on TV4.
