He scored after just 22 seconds. Then World Cup debutant William Arvidsson continued to score. In total, there were nine goals as the national bandy team took its biggest World Cup victory ever - 34-0 against Hungary.

Last year's 31–0 win against Hungary was Sweden's biggest World Bandy Championship victory at the time. The record didn't even stand for a year. In the opening match of the World Bandy Championship in Pori, Finland, the Blue and Yellow produced an incredible scoring display.

After leading 17–0 at halftime, Sweden ended up winning 34–0 against Hungary.

World Championship debutant William Arvidsson was one of Sweden's top scorers. The Villa Lidköpings player scored to make it 1–0 after 22 seconds and added four more in the first half. In total, he scored nine goals in his World Championship debut.

Christoffer Edlund accounted for seven goals and seven assists.

Sweden's group stage continues with matches against the Netherlands on Tuesday, then Norway, the USA and Finland.
