The show opened with Madonna arriving alongside Brazilian football icons Ronaldinho and Ronaldo.

Then, "Seven Nation Army" was performed by several characters from "The Muppets" with an orchestra - when Haaland and the Norwegian national team also appeared on the screen in their famous rowing pose.

K-pop band BTS kept the pace going until Ted Lasso (Jason Sudeikis) from the TV series “Ted Lasso” came in and introduced Justin Bieber. He slowed everything down with his song “Everything Hallelujah.”

Shakira, Burna Boy and a children's choir ended the performance with the World Cup song "Dai dai". The total break was just over 27 minutes long. According to FIFA rules, a half-time break can be a maximum of 15 minutes.
