The Burnley defender braves the heat. And many others do, too.

In one way it might be good to get used to it; in another way, maybe you shouldn't be out in the heat for too long. But if it had been a regular training day we would have trained, so it's not the end of the world.

National teammate Carl Starfelt had not decided what he would do at Wednesday's press conference. But hacking around on a course with a club and ball was out of the question.

Doesn't play golf

He doesn't play golf.

It will be something different, we'll see, but many play golf; it's about fifty-fifty in the squad, says Starfelt.

It is important to keep busy during the free time the players have during a championship. Hotel boredom must be avoided.

Ping pong popular

There will be a lot of ping-pong and board games. We've been in Dallas for a bit. That's kind of it, says Starfelt.

Hjalmar Ekdal doesn't think much of Dallas' "downtown" after a trip there.

There wasn't much to see, unfortunately. I don't think there are many activities besides golf that are popular.

On Saturday, the squad will fly to Monterrey, Mexico and train there in the evening, local time. The World Cup opener will be played against Tunisia on Monday night, Swedish time.
