An industrial building in Öjebyn outside Piteå has been completely destroyed in a fire.
The fire broke out during the night to Friday. The heavy smoke led to a so-called VMA (important message to the public) being issued, and everyone living in the area was urged to stay indoors. The VMA could be withdrawn at 8.30, reports Piteå-Tidningen.
There is no information that anyone has been injured.
Due to the smoke development, all graduation celebrations at Solanderskolan were cancelled.
