World champion Mattias Karlsson left out of Sweden’s doubles teams for European Championships

Anton Källberg will play with Kristian Karlsson, and Truls Möregårdh will pair with Elias Ranefur. Sweden's most successful doubles player in recent years, Mattias Karlsson, will be invited to the doubles tournament at the European Championships in Ljubljana.

"Leaving a doubles world champion like Mattias out is obviously tough. It also shows the strength of the squad we have," Marcus Sjöberg says in a press release.

Mattias Karlsson will instead receive one of five Swedish singles spots together with Truls Möregårdh, Elias Ranefur, Anton Källberg, Kristian Karlsson.

The championship will be played October 11–18 and the women's squad will be presented at a later date.
