A man in his 40s has died in a fall accident at a construction site in Täby north of Stockholm. He was in a vehicle that fell from a great height.

It's a work vehicle that for some reason fell from the fourth floor and landed in a container, says Jonas Wahlstrand, operations manager at the rescue service.

The alarm about the accident came at 14.55 on Monday. In the evening, the police announced that the man had died in the accident.

The fatal accident is being investigated by the police. The crime classification is gross negligence leading to another person's death through a workplace accident. The accident site has been cordoned off.

It will be cordoned off during the night and they will continue with the technical investigation tomorrow morning, says the police's press spokesperson Susanna Rinaldo.
