The collapse occurred during an early morning thunderstorm in Angeles City, north of the capital Manila. 22 workers are reported to have managed to get out, but at least 30 people are still believed to be trapped in the rubble.
More than 100 police officers worked Sunday morning to search for people after the landslide. The extent of injuries among those who managed to get out is unknown.
