Tiger Woods thought it was 99 yards (90 meters) to the flag. But it was double that. One of the most embarrassing moments in my career, said the golf icon.

It was in the indoor golf tournament TGL in Florida that Woods grossly misjudged the distance.

What is he doing? He has a wedge (club for short and high shots) in his hand, said teammate Kevin Kisner while Woods was preparing for the shot.

The damage was already done.

Woods looked slightly shocked when the ball landed after about 90 meters.

You said 99 yards, Woods shouted to Kisner at the same time as Tom Kim, the third player in the team, burst out laughing.

No, it was 199, replied Kisner.

Afterwards, the 15-time major winner laughed at the blunder.

One of the most embarrassing moments in my career. I'm ashamed, said Tiger Woods with a smile to ESPN.
