Host nation Brazil will kick off the football party on June 24 at Maracanã. The final will be played at the same iconic stadium a month later, on July 24, 2027.
Maracanã will thus become the third stadium to host a men's and women's World Cup final. The other two are the Rose Bowl in Los Angeles (1994 and 1999) and Råsunda in Solna (1958 and 1995).
The World Cup will be played in eight cities: Rio de Janeiro, Brasilia, Belo Horizonte, Fortaleza, Porto Alegre, São Paulo, Salvador and Recife
Sweden will try to reach the World Cup via the playoffs this autumn. The blue and yellow team will first meet Lithuania in a two-legged tie in October. A win there will see them face either the Czech Republic or Scotland. Those matches will be played on December 1 and 5.
