The woman was sentenced to life imprisonment by the district court in May. The Court of Appeal upholds the conviction - but finds that the daughter acted with indifference and that there is support for the view that it was an impulsive act.
The court also believes that a mental disorder meant that she had some impaired ability to control her actions.
The crime occurred in an apartment in Norberg at the beginning of the year. According to the indictment, the woman died as a result of extensive violence to the head and body, among other things.
