It was at 7pm on Friday, October 24th that police were called to Pildammsparken, which is Malmö's largest at 45 hectares. Parts of the park were cordoned off and a large police operation was launched.
The incident was initially investigated as a suspected assault.
According to the authority, information has subsequently emerged that gives reason to suspect that the information in the emergency call was false.
The crime is considered serious.
