The accident occurred in May. The woman was on her way to visit her husband who was hospitalized. She was hit by a car reversing onto a one-way street inside the hospital grounds, writes Göteborgs-Posten.
The woman died after some time in hospital.
The driver, who is in his 40s, is now being charged with causing death and reckless driving.
"My client feels very bad about what happened, but denies that he has acted criminally," the man's lawyer Björn Hurtig told the newspaper.
