A woman in southern Stockholm has been sentenced to prison for assaulting an underage boy who lived at the LSS housing facility where she worked.

Suspicions were raised after the woman and the boy were stopped in a car late last night. Police then learned that the LSS accommodation had dismissed the woman for an inappropriate relationship with the boy. When officers followed, they found the woman in her underwear with the boy in a holiday home.

Because the boy has disabilities, the district court found that he had been unable to protect his sexual integrity and that the woman had a power advantage due to the age difference and her role at the residence. She had also bought expensive gifts for the boy, such as speakers and video games.

The woman has denied any wrongdoing and says they started something "that mimicked a relationship."

She has been sentenced to three and a half years in prison for raping children on 15 occasions and for attempted rape of children.
