The police were notified of the accident, which occurred at an intersection near the central station, at around 6 p.m.
We have cordoned off the scene to document it, gather witness information and review camera footage, police spokesman Jakob Palmgren said at 7:30 p.m.
Half an hour later, the cordon was lifted. The bus has been seized for technical examination.
According to Region Skåne, the woman has life-threatening injuries.
The police cannot say at this time how the accident happened, but it occurred at a crosswalk and the woman was walking.
