Police were called to the scene at 10 a.m. on Saturday. The woman was taken to hospital by ambulance but died shortly after arriving.
"We don't know how long she may have been out there. She was quite chilled when she was found," says police spokesman Magnus Jansson Klarin.
A preliminary investigation into murder or manslaughter has been launched. Police have cordoned off the scene and are appealing to the public for tips.
"The injuries the woman was found with mean we cannot rule out that she was the victim of a crime. It is very unclear what happened," says Jansson Klarin.
