A woman has been found dead in a residence in Hultsfred. A man who was in the residence is arrested.
"There are unclear circumstances surrounding the death, it is therefore initially being investigated as a murder", the police write on their website.
Right now, we cannot comment on the circumstances, says Katarina Rusin, press spokesperson for the police region South.
The police are working with door-to-door inquiries in the area and the residence is cordoned off for technical examination.
We will be holding an interview with the arrested person during the day and our technicians will be examining the residence.
