According to Göteborgs-Posten, the case involves a woman who was found dead in an apartment on Wednesday. The investigation is currently being classified as a suspected murder.
"We have classified it as such and are trying to investigate whether that is really the case," says Max Olsson, police chief in the city, to the newspaper.
Prosecutor Simon Egelrud states that the investigation is at an early stage.
"The investigation is in its initial stages and customary investigative measures are being taken," he says in a press release.
