A female foreign citizen has been arrested suspected of having photographed the Muskö base, reports P4 Stockholm.
The woman was arrested during the Midsummer weekend when she was paddling with a kayak near the military facility. Among other things, she is said to have photographed an underground rock facility that is classified as a protected object.
She is now arrested suspected of unauthorized access to a protected object and unauthorized depiction of a protected object. The woman speaks Russian and Estonian.
To P4 Stockholm the prosecutor Julia Täbäck says that the woman admits to having been at the site but denies the crime.
The Swedish Armed Forces' naval base on the island of Muskö is located in the southern archipelago of Stockholm in Haninge municipality.
