A man has been arrested after a woman was found in a stairwell in Täby, north of Stockholm, during the night leading up to Saturday, reports Aftonbladet. The woman, who is in her 50s, later died at the hospital.
The alarm was initially reported as a medical emergency, but it is unclear what happened and the police have now launched a preliminary investigation into murder.
There are some question marks that need to be clarified and therefore we have launched an investigation. But we are far from certain about what this is, says Ola Österling, the police's press spokesperson in Stockholm, to the newspaper.
