In total, at least 300 drones and over 30 rockets have been sent from Russia to Ukrainian cities since Friday evening, according to President Volodymyr Zelenskyj on X.

The city of Pavlohrad in the Dnipropetrovsk region was bombarded for over six hours, reports The Guardian. According to Governor Sergij Lysak, two people have been killed in attacks in the region.

"A devilish night and morning for Pavlohrad. The most intense attack on the city. Explosion after explosion", he says on Telegram.

A factory has been damaged, a fire station has been destroyed and a five-story building in the city has been razed, according to Lysak.

Pavlohrad is a strategic hub in the important industrial region of Dnipropetrovsk, which borders the Donetsk region in eastern Ukraine. Russian forces have advanced in the area and are on the verge of capturing territory in the region, for the first time since the invasion in 2022.

The port city of Odessa was attacked just after midnight on Saturday by about 20 drones, according to the city's mayor. A fire broke out in a nine-story apartment building as a result of the attack.

Five people were rescued from the roof of the building and a woman died afterwards, writes The Guardian.
