A fire broke out on several floors in a nine-story apartment building as a result of the attack on the port city of Odessa in southern Ukraine. Six people have been injured, including one child, writes Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyj on X.
The attack occurred just after midnight local time with more than 20 drones approaching from several directions, according to the city's mayor.
In total, at least 300 drones and over 30 missiles have been sent from Russia towards Ukrainian cities since last night, according to Zelenskyj.
"Elimination of targets is still ongoing – drones remain in the air", he writes on Saturday morning.
Important infrastructure was damaged in Sumy, where several families were left without power. In addition, the city of Pavlohrad in the Dnipropetrovsk region has been affected, writes the president.
