A woman in Helsingborg cracked an egg on her five-year-old daughter's head while broadcasting the incident live on social media. The woman has now been convicted of harassment, writes Helsingborgs Dagblad and Sydsvenskan.

The clip of the incident received around 100,000 views. The police became aware of the incident after an anonymous tip.

When I saw the film, I thought: you just don't do that to a child, says prosecutor Cecilia Andersson to the newspapers.

The woman has admitted to cracking the egg, but denies any wrongdoing. She has stated that she did it because it was a popular trend on Tiktok.

The mother has been sentenced to day fines and will also have to pay 8,000 kronor in damages to her daughter.
