A resident of the apartment discovered the pests one morning last summer when they were crawling around the entire apartment.

"The doormat was full of small creatures," according to the police report, as stated in Hem och Hyra.

The cockroaches, of the oriental cockroach type, were suspected to have been spread to the apartment by a person, and when the police began examining the surveillance cameras, a woman was seen sneaking into the entrance. She had an envelope in her hand and bent down to the mailbox before leaving. A large insect was seen crawling on the floor afterwards.

The suspected woman was identified and has now been charged, despite her denial, for harassment and vandalism. The prosecutor believes that the woman caused damage to the residence and violated the family with children who lived there. The family left their home during the month-long sanitation process, as they did not dare to stay among traps and poison.
