On Wednesday morning, two people were reported missing after a boat trip. After a major search operation, the boat carrying the missing people was found on Lake Vättern. The man on board was found lifeless and could not be saved.
As the circumstances surrounding the death are unclear, a preliminary investigation into suspected murder has been opened. The woman is being held on the lower level of suspicion, reasonable suspicion. A new detention hearing is to be held within a week.
"The investigation is now continuing, including mapping the activities of those involved before the crime. Further interrogations will be held and the deceased's body will also be autopsied," says Clara Åbyhammar, district prosecutor and head of the preliminary investigation, in a press release.
