According to the investigation, the motive for the attack was a drug deal. However, the grenade was thrown into the wrong home in Tumba, the Prosecution Authority said in a press release.
"The mother and a minor child were in bed when the hand grenade was thrown through the bedroom window and detonated in the bedroom. The mother had to have both legs amputated and the minor child also suffered very serious injuries," said senior prosecutor Daniel Insulander.
A 30-year-old man charged with incitement is also charged over a grenade attack in Skärholmen. He was arrested at Arlanda in December after returning from abroad.
