The wolf is said to have attacked near the dog owner's home and dragged the puppy for almost a kilometer. The puppy remained there, without being eaten.
"It is certain that a wolf killed the dog. We determined that from the bite pattern," wildlife conservation consultant Jens Henrik Jacobsen told Folkebladet Lemvig.
The attack comes just a week after a pony was found killed and partially eaten in Jutland. There, too, the perpetrator was believed to be a wolf.
