According to Klara Sondén, deputy state epidemiologist at the Public Health Agency of Sweden, this year's spread has been higher than during the winters that followed the coronavirus pandemic. Now the vomiting disease is predicted to have reached its peak.
"We still have no clear signs that it is slowing down," she told the radio.
Normally, levels tend to decline in March and early April.
"So there is still hope for that," Klara Sondén says.
