Fine-dining Danes will probably find it difficult to drink the most exclusive wine with the food in the famous two-Michelin-starred restaurant.
Thieves stole 87 bottles of red wine from Frederikshøj restaurant in Aarhus, Denmark, on Wednesday night, owner Wassim Hallal told TV 2 Østjylland. He estimates the wine was worth more than one million Danish kroner.
Surveillance footage showed three thieves arriving at 10:37 pm, Hallal said. One entered the wine store through a hole cut in a window and passed bottles out to the others. The theft took about three hours, he told the broadcaster.
Hallal said the thieves appeared to know about a blind spot in the alarm system and had selected some of the restaurant's most expensive wines. An alarm expert has since closed the blind spots, TV 2 Østjylland reported.
