The Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute has issued a yellow warning – the lowest warning class) over eastern Svealand and southernmost Norrland.
In an area from Oxelösund in the south to just north of Gävle, there is a risk that roads may be blocked by fallen trees and public transport may be affected by delays.
Besides the fact that strong gusts of wind of 20–25 meters per second may occur, showers are moving southeast over the area.
The weather authority urges those living in the area to secure loose objects, such as trampolines and garden furniture.
The warning applies between 4 pm and 9 pm.
