A wind turbine at a landfill in Kungshamn in Sotenäs municipality caught fire on Tuesday, according to P4 Väst.
The rescue service was called to the site, but primarily focused on ensuring that no one was hit by burning parts flying through the air from the wind turbine.
The motor of the wind turbine is on fire, so we are on site and trying to extinguish the parts that fall to the ground, said Fredrik Johansson, alarm and control officer at the rescue service, to TT at lunchtime.
By 2 pm, the rescue service's operation at the site was completed. No one was injured in connection with the fire.
