Wimbledon continues to offer big surprises. On Friday, sixth-seeded Madison Keys, fresh champion from Australian Open, was knocked out already in the third round.
The American clearly lost to Germany's Laura Siegemund, ranked 104 in the world, with the numbers 3–6, 3–6.
Keys' exit means that only one of the six highest seeded players remains for the continuation of the tournament: world number one Aryna Sabalenka.
The Belarusian won in two straight sets over home hope Emma Raducanu, 7–6 (8–6), 6–4.
Sabalenka will face Belgian Elise Mertens in the fourth round.
