On Wednesday evening, Swedish time, the club announced that it had extended the Swede's contract until 2029. According to the NHL's website, the contract is worth 67 million kronor per year, or a total of 135 million kronor.
Karlsson was one of the original players on the club that debuted in the NHL in the 2017-18 season. Since then, he has scored 403 points for the club and was part of the team that won the Stanley Cup in 2023.
