"Sverige Live" replaced the afternoon program "Go'kväll" on SVT in January. The programme airs on weekdays and in a shorter weekend format on Saturdays, and was criticised by viewers during its first season when it was seen as cluttered. The viewership figures were also lower than for "Go'kväll".
Ahead of the new season, which starts on August 17, William Brynolfsson will move from sidekick to regular host.
Brynolfsson will be one of eight programme hosts and will host Friday's show together with Karin Frick.
I want Friday to stand out and be like a pre-party for the weekend, Brynolfsson tells DN and promises that the programme's concept will be "screwed up" by the fall.
