Will Smith is banned from the Oscars ceremony for a number of years following the well-documented incident at the 2022 ceremony, when he hit comedian Chris Rock.
However, on Sunday, Smith will perform a new original song at the BET Awards, according to Billboard. It will be his first major solo performance after the 2022 incident.
Smith recently returned to music with the Sean Paul collaboration "Light 'em up". The song is also the soundtrack to his latest film "Bad Boys: Ride or die".
