The emergency situation surrounding the fires in Europe continues. The day after two firefighting helicopters in Greece collided, killing two crew members, additional water-bombing aircraft and helicopters have been called in.
The flames have now moved ever closer to Athens, forcing new evacuations on Monday morning.
The fires broke out on Friday in the coastal town of Porto Germeno and remain the worst in the area. The fires are being fanned by strong winds, which means they can spread quickly.
