The reason the 19-year-old ski talent is included is that the rules allow a foreign skier to be fielded in the relays. Myhlback is registered for the sprint relay, where he will represent Team Bygdø paired with Eirik Mysen.
What the two can achieve depends on whether Johannes Høsflot Klæbo is in the running for Byåsen or not. If Klæbo is in, silver. Otherwise, they can win, says Team Bygdø's coach Vetle Leander Johansen to Norwegian TV2.
Emil Iversen, who won a gold and a silver at the Olympics in February, is surprised when he hears about the news.
"It's a bit special. I thought he was Swedish? But I'm glad," says Iversen.
