Why Ernst Kirchsteiger is leaving the TV screen after 25 years

In the channel's "New Year's Caramels," Kirchsteiger explained that it's time to do something new:

Normally I start thinking about mulled wine snacks in August, and then I keep going and it builds up, and then Christmas comes, and then I start thinking about summer. It takes up a big part of my life.

Ernst Kirchsteiger has appeared on television for 25 years, 17 of them on TV4, and has made a total of 15 seasons of "Summer with Ernst".
