+ Hope lives for Portugal
With only a few minutes left of the match against Italy, Portugal managed to equalize to 1–1 and thus kept the European Championship dream alive. However, to get past Italy and grab second place in the group, a lot needs to go Portugal's way. Portugal needs to beat Belgium while Italy loses to Spain, and make up six goals in goal difference.
Missing for Portugal is regular defender Ana Borges, who was sent off in the final stages of the match against Italy and is suspended.
+ Belgium already eliminated
Belgium equalized twice against Spain but ultimately lost 2–6. The result meant that the hope of advancing was extinguished for the Belgian women, who now have to fight for honor and pride in the last group stage match against Portugal.

+ Series final with a lot at stake
Italy was on its way to securing advancement against Portugal after beating Belgium 1–0 in its European Championship premiere. But a late equalizer from Portugal to 1–1 means that Italy still risks being eliminated already in the group stage.
Now, the group's toughest opponent, Spain, awaits, and Italy may need to take points if Portugal wins and scores a lot of goals against Belgium. If they win, however, they will pass Spain and become group winners.
+ Should Spain secure first place?
Spain has scored an almost unbelievable eleven goals in two matches after crushing Portugal (5–0) and Belgium (6–2). The country is already clear for the quarterfinals with the wins, but needs at least a draw against Italy to retain first place.
Midfield star and Ballon d'Or winner Aitana Bonmatí started on the bench against Belgium but is on the mend after her meningitis, and got more playing time in that match than in the premiere against Portugal.
