It's been five years since Daniel Craig said goodbye to James Bond in "No Time to Die".
But now things are starting to move again. It has already been announced that "Dune" director Denis Villeneuve will make the next Bond film, based on a script by Steven Knight, the man behind the TV series "Peaky Blinders".
Now all that's missing is a new James Bond. The film world is buzzing with rumours about who will take over the iconic role, and an announcement will be made soon.
For me, this is a pretty important thing in the film world. It will be incredibly exciting to see what direction they choose, says Anders Jansson, who runs the film podcast "Bio min bio" together with Edward af Sillén.

Six actors have played the lead role in official Bond films so far and all have left their mark. Daniel Craig was a rather tough agent - Anders Jansson hopes for more humor in Bond in the future.
"If I have to make a criticism, the latest films have been a bit humorless," he says.
The big favorite in the advance chatter is Jack Lowden, who plays River in the TV series "Slow Horses." Anders Jansson hopes it will be him.
Because then I think we will get a new type of Bond. He has shown in "Slow Horses" that he can shoot, run and jump on roofs. But he can also get into strange situations and is "likeable" in a nice way.
TV4's film critic Ronny Svensson believed that the latest Bond film would be the last.
It was a good ending. Personally, I felt like it might be the end. But "money talks" and then you start it up again, he says, laughing.
"Twelve-faced"
He mentions Andrew Scott, known from “Fleabag,” as a personal favorite, but believes the filmmakers will choose Jacob Elordi. The Australian actor is known from films such as “Saltburn” and the new version of “Frankenstein” last year.
If it's supposed to be the fancy one, it's him. But if it's not supposed to be the fancy one, then why not Callum Turner? Who has charm and who isn't soapy, to use an old expression.
But Ronny Svensson points out that there are plenty of action heroes in cinemas these days, including Jason Bourne and Tom Cruise in the “Mission: Impossible” films. Bond no longer has the special status he once had. But Ronny Svensson won’t be able to stay away from the cinema when the new film comes out.
"Of course I'll go see the new film. The boy's room heart beats a little extra for things you saw when you were young," he says.
